1.YL-series texture modular resin introduction:

YL-series texture modular resin is an innovative, convenient and modular raw materials specially used for texture finish powder coating(indoor use and outdoor use).It could be mastered and used in production easily. YL-series texture Modular Resin could replace of texture additives ,wax totally and parts of polyester resins. It is a cost-effective product but all the physical/chemical properties of powder coatings are much improved than traditional texture powders coatings, especially the film hardness could reach 3-7H(pencil hardness).

2.Advantage of YL-series texture modular resin:

1)Environmental and safety raw materials:

We select composite raw materials(environmental, no toxicity and no smell), YL-series texture modular resin samples already passed the test of Vkan Certification &Testing Co., td ,it meets the standard of European 2011/65/EU and the limit value requirement of 174 highly concerned substances in REACH EU regulation(EC) No 1907/2006 which is relative to registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals. Our test report(No.:RZRS2017-0344&WTS2017-15703) is for your reference.

2)Convenient in production and good compatibility:

With YL-series texture modular resin, it could produce required texture powder coating with any kind of YL-series modular resin with users’ dosing materials(resin + curing agent + pigment),no need to add any additives(if user need to add other materials, it is also no problem, YL-series texture modular resin has good compatibility

3)Color and gloss consistency:

Gloss(2°-20°@ 60°) could be controlled and adjusted by changing extruder’s technical parameters or formula’s pigment binder ratio(screws specialized for texture powder coating will be better) under the materials outlet temperature no more than 150°.It could ensure consistent and stable gloss and color and no color difference among batches of powder coatings.

4)Different size texture powder coating

With YL-series texture modular resin, it could produce different particle size type texture powder coating with big texture, middle size texture and small size texture powder coatings by adjusting ACM technical parameters or changing sieve mesh with 140mesh-105μm, 170mesh-88μm and 200mesh-74μm.

5)Standard texture powder coating(Particle size D50 30-35μm):

Clear and even texture,three-dimensional,flat, compact and good coverage of corners in the film appearance; More reasonable layout electric field will make the product get better charged stability, spraying ratio increase obviously, recycled powder coating’s spray ratio also could get a good result.

6)Super fine texture powder coating(Particle size D50 20-25μm):

Delicate, rich and smooth texture film with good hand feelings. Finish powder could be sprayed easily, spraying ratio will be not affected. It will be no powder falling、crater and Faraday happened around it when film thickness is no more than 100μm on the single side of work piece.

3.Disadvantage of traditional texture powder coating:

1)Texture agent, matting agent and other additives are needed.

It need different kind and different quantity of additives to adjust the texture size, gloss and harness. For example it need to add different quantity texture agent to get different size texture finish, different quantity matting agent to get different glosses and different quantity of wax to add hardness(≥2H pencil hardness).

2)It is difficult to get a uniform particle size, gloss, color and other technical parameters between batches of texture powder coating because of different kinds additives, other physical/ technical parameters and controlling machinery factors’ differences. It need be adjusted again and again in productions and even need to be reworked in the production.

4.Kinds of YL-series:

YL-001——Generally indoor and outdoor use with pencil hardness 3-4H

YL-002——Generally indoor and outdoor use with pencil hardness 4-5H

YL-003——Generally indoor and outdoor use with pencil hardness 5-6H

5.Reference formula with YL-series texture Modular Resin:

◆ 37+2.8+35+25(YL-series) is the smallest ratio formula, we use the formula to make one bright green panel P216/RAL 250-3,it passed both artificial weathering aging test(test time was during 2017.6.21-2017.7.14) and neutral salt spray test(test time was during 2017.6.23-2017.7.14) which are made by China Coating Quality Supervision and Inspection Center . ◆ TGIC polyester resin, HAA polyester resin, hybrid polyester resin/epoxy resin and recycled powder coating, any of them could get texture powder coating when YL-series texture Modular Resin is used together. 

◆ Storage and packing:

The shelf life of the resin will be one year and stored in a dry place at temperature below 30℃. Avoid direct sunlight, damp and rain. After one year, it should be tested once again before production, if it is qualified, then use it.
